New Years Greetings

New Years Greetings from Rabbi Brown:

I was thinking about what I should wish you for the coming New Year.  Some people desire prosperity, others honor, success, good fortune and so on.  While reflecting on a multitude of blessings, my wife reminds me that I wanted to call someone who is presently in the hospital.  Before I could extend the customary New Year greetings, she says to me, "I wish you health ... everything else is secondary."  There is much wisdom in her words.  Our "wish list" is long but many of our heart's desires seem trivial when health becomes an issue.  And so from Tsippy, me and our family, we wish you and your loved ones "May 5772 be, first and foremost, a year of good health - health of body, health or mind, health of spirit." For all of us may it be a good year. Amen.
